Yahoo! 360 is one place to set one up, or www.blogger.com, or there are others. One way (of many) you can use it, is to place your personal writings, commentaries, thoughts, from time to time (they get displayed in descending order by date, most recent first), and you can leave them open, if you wish, for other folks, like your family and friends, to leave comments. You can also set up links to other blogs in which you're interested, and in turn, have those blog owners set up links to your blog, so that folks who read those blogs will read yours, too (if you're interested in having more readers...)

a blog is sort of like an online diary or journal..you can try blogger.com if u want to start having one.
