when you bleed real heavy and you have to change your pad alot or within every hour.....sometimes you get major menstrual cramps....also if you bleed real heavy it sometimes it means that it is normal or have a disease like endometrioois.....if you have really heavy periods if i was you i would go get checked out.

You'll know when you have to change pads or tampons very frequently, say every hour or so, and when you get bad cramps. I don't mind heavy periods but they are annoying sometimes!

You will need to wear a tampon and a sanitary towel, and after cramp like contractions will flood bleed. I had this and had a Mirena coil fitted through the family planning as my male doctor wasn't that interested. Best thing i ever did hardly any bleeding at all now.

Well theres no way to really tell but if you feel it is go to the doctor and ask them about it. Birth Control pills really help with that!

If it's thick, big globules of blood, & a bad tummy ache, & this goes on for days instead of just the first day when normally the thickness will just fizzle out. xxx
