you could hide it somewhere common because sometimes when you easily hide it where someone to look at is obvius, sometimes it works to hide!

A needle in a haystack is way out of date - a powerful magnet would find it in seconds. Better hide a needle in a needle factory.

to hide a tree use a forest
put it in a really obvious place that noone will bother to look in
