I have had sex with condoms being the only conrtaceptive involved for 7 months now. My periods are all irregular(?) they are between 30 and 40 days apart, usually. However i can usually know when they are comming by getting symptoms including, a stomach-ache(sp?), very heavy cramping, and cold chills 2 days before and all that plus loss of appetite and diareah the day/night before it starts. I had these symptoms two weeks ago, but never got my period, I have had a stomach ache the past 3 days and this morning felt very sick, (it could be lack of sleep though).
Should I take a pregnancy test now or wait?, i'm not overly worried about it because i have gone months w/out it but they had been getting closer together and almost had a pattern.

Since it's been two weeks and you still haven't gotten your period, I'd say go ahead and get a test. Especially since you've been sick. If you're not overly worried about it though, just take care of yourself, eat well, and wait another week. Good luck, I'm going through the same sort of thing right now.

You should probably go ahead and take the test. Its better to know soon as possible. Its hard to know for sure when you ovulate with irregular periods..mine are opposite of yours my cycle was usually only around 18- 24 days each month. So its just very hard to keep track of when you were fertile and will be again. So take a test and if you get a neg..you may want to take another in a week or so.Good Luck. Also check with your Dr. if you still have the symptoms but keep getting negative results.

I would take a test at least for your peace of mind. If you get a negative, wait another 5-7 days and test again. If you do not get your period in the time span you are expecting, and you are still getting negatives- consult your doctor!
If you do test, I suggest testing the first the thing the morning. Your urine is most concentrated at this time.

do the test, what harm can it do? They are very sensitive now so if you are pregnant it will probably show. If you get a negative result, then wait another few weeks, if there's still nothing do another test or speak to your doctor.

I always think if you are worried about it you should go ahead and take the test. It will put your mind at ease. If you are still worried you should see your dr.

it could be your mind making the simptoms but take a test it will put your mind at rest
