Are there any possible causes besides pregnancy that could cause these two things?

That sounds like maybe your period is trying to come. Last year I had a horrible ordeal with my ex and my so-called bestfriend. That had put my body under a lot of stress and it caused my period to be late. I had almost thought I was pregnant cause I ALWAYS know when my period's about to start and that time everything was all off. For abut three days I got dark brown discharge and then slowly I started to bleed. But it was still dark brown. Eventually the color started to lighten and it was somewhat of a normal period. So, it could be that your stressed or just recently dealt with stress?

Stress, unplanned life changes, anxiety and a variety of other things can effect your cycles. However, take a home pregnancy test to rule it out. The brownish discharge could be from implantation bleeding.

That brown discharge is the start of your period. Sometimes if my period is really light thats all it will be.

there are a range of opportunities.... eh, yet im not a docter, yet i say it ought to both be an infection, or you're dropping blood and that is blending with... properly yknow.... Definatly flow see a docter, purely in case. i'd not positioned something like that to possibility.

Ovarian cysts or hormonal imbalance. My friend has both and they mess up her period regularly

Late period due to stress,,,,brown discharge is because your boyfriend doesn't wash his pecker after pumping his boyfriend and then pumps you....nasty
