Sectarian violence... whatever you want to call it. Didn't Bush overthrow their government and encourage their enemies to assassinate them? It seems irresponsible to disavow our culpability now that things are out of control. Bush is right. It's his fault, and he needs to do something about it. It's our fault too, for not overthrowing him when he stole the election.

I should have known that this "question" would turn out to be nothing but yet another boring, senseless "Bush-bashing" in a long string of boring, senseless "Bush-bashing" "questions."

If you had been paying attention to world events instead of sitting around dreaming up new and innovative ways to blame Bush for everything, you'd know that the answer to the "question" that you used to camoflage your rant is simple: the members of the new Iraqi government have done little if anything to control the violence in their own country. They're too busy sitting around wasting time bickering among themselves about petty things, and seeing what new things they can buy with the money the US is sending to help rebuild their country.

The civil war in Iraq is not Bush's fault; it's the fault of the Iraqi government who let their country get overrun by insurrectionists.

Well the Iraqi Govt. is run by the Iraqi Shias & the Iraqi President (a Shia) is friendly with Al Sadr a radical Shia Cleric with ties to Shia Militias/Death Squads who go out and kill Iraqi Sunnis. But the Iraqi Sunnis (and Al Qaeda) started killing Iraqi Shia first because a civil war would only help them because it would cause massive chaos that would bog down the US military & would really hurt the new Democracy that the US/Iraqis were trying to build. With no democracy working and thus no new Iraqi Govt really working the Iraqi Sunnis would have a good chance of taking over Iraq again (with the help of Al Qaeda & other Sunnis like the Saudis).

There are factions within the government that have control over some militias that are causing problems. The sectarian violence contributors have people in the police force, army and regular old thugs. It's a complicated mess when some of the enemies are being controlled by the very people we want to fix the problems.

Bye the Way, Bush didn't steal the election- he won by a slim margin (51% of pop vote). You Hippie liberal idiots should have united behind Kerry instead of shouting slogans like anybody but Bush.

Here's an idea: Blame all of those people who are registered to vote, but didn't; as well as all the American people who aren't registered to vote.

I'm a Republican and I voted (for Kerry) FYI. More to the point if the Iraqi people want freedom then they should fight for it, after-all it's their country.

Bush is an asshole, but if your going to accuse people of stealing an election you should get all the facts.

Only the Iraqi people can settle the unrest in their country. The USA can only provide the training and equipment needed for the task. Lasting peace and prosperity can only be accomplished by Iraqis. It will not happen overnight.

Your stupid. Why do you liberals always want to make everyone the victim? Never taking responsibility for anything! The Iraqis have been handed a great opportunity, to be free and to rule themselves. It is there fault.
