Ohh some details that might be important according to the responses already.
Its a womens watch, the jewels that I mention before are on the top and bottom of the watch and the face has four diamonds in it at 3,6,9, and 12 and when i open the back there are rubies in the mechanics of the watch like 4 or five little ones. and if I should go to a antique dealer how do i find a good one? Antiques Roadshow??

Any antique dealer will be able to help you. The Bulova website wont be any help. Be careful if it is really 14k or gold plated. The inside back cove should have some stampings to help you out. If it says something like guaranteed 30 years it's gold filled and not real gold. Also too how many jewels is the movement? A high grade watch movement will have 22 jewels. If it only has 18 then it is a low grade movement. Is it men's or ladies? Mens pocket watches are more collectible than ladies. most collectors don't want ladies watches because they don't resell very fast. As for the fox tail band I'm guessing it's only the style of band on the watch. Hopefully you didn't pay too much for it anymore than $200 and you got taken.

If I had that, I would most certainly take it to a jeweler you can trust in your area. That is the very best thing you could do...but stand there while they do the appraisal. I wouldn't just leave it there because basically I don't trust anyone. They could remove the stones and replace them with fakes and you'll never know they did it. Protect your investment. :>)
