Does the doctor who prescribed it know your pregnant. I don't know if it is safe, but your doctor should be able to tell you. Always ask before taking something while pregnant. My doctor gave me a list of over the counter drugs that were ok. I never took prescription drugs unless my ob/gyn prescribed them.

I do not know, you need to be talking to your doctor about this though. A doctor can tell you the risks involved if any.
Are you seeing a doctor regulary? Have you seen a doc since you've been pregnant? Does the doctor prescribing that medicine know you are pregnant?
I ask that because the answer could be no and if it is, then you need to change that to a yes immediatly. Not just for your health and peace of mind but for your unborn childs health too.
I'm not saying that drug will cause problems, but the only way your doctor can help your infection while keeping the baby in mind is if they know, and that is only if they see you, and that is only if they see you regularly. Now...you need to be seeing a doctor that specializes in pregnancy too...tell them about your bladder infection and what you are taking...good luck!

Well, I think you should have been checking into this BEFORE you put it into your body! If there are side effects or risks to your baby, the damage is already done isn't it? I would advise you to read the insert that comes with the drug and contact the drug manufacturer directly... Tell them you want the information about the drug directly from them. You could have also asked your doctor and or the pharmacist. Pharmacists have all that information right there in pharmacy... A lot of times drugs are presumed 'safe' but there haven't been actual studies to make sure for obvious reasons... who would want to be the test group and endanger their babies???
Not trying to scare you, it is probably going to be okay. But I just saw a commercial for people who took Paxil and that their babies had heart defects caused by the drug.... Doctors thought it was safe... Back in the day, they thought Thalidomide was safe, too....
