In movies and ESPECIALLY TV shows, there are attractive women married to fat or sub-standard men, but there are never attractive men married to fat or sub-standard women?

Yes! I've never understood it! I've thought that about so many shows. And they wonder why women are so hard on themselves. I've notived that guys say that all the time, we're too hard on ourselves. It's prolly cuz society has us women feeling like if we're not perfect we're not pretty. Guys aren't under that kind of pressure. even news reporters are like that. the women are pretty but the men are busted!! What gives? We want a lil eye candy too!!

I have noticed that. I guess what it is saying is that it's okay to be fat and sub-standard if you are a man but a woman should "keep herself up". sucks. If I want to be sub standard I am gonna be dammit! I'm not fat, though. Oh. and not on TV or in the movies. Well, guess I better just shut up then. It's so hard though. I mean like I just don't seem to know how to end a conversation and....

Because it's easier for fat sub-standard men to get acting jobs than for fat sub-standard women.
Btw, how does being fat make you sub-standard?

It supposed to be Funny.
Sad thing is men really are twice as obese as the average women because of these giggles. I learned on Oprah from Dr. Oz ... that fat men loose an inch of manly stuff for every 20 pounds they're overweight ... looking around the supermarket ... theres a lot of missing inches --- giggle --- jokes on the men.

Not only on t.v. look around you - I always see these pretty women with these ugly men and these fat ugly women with these fine men.....Money maybe? Would a man want to see a beautiful young thing or a fat 3 eyed beast who has more facial hair than he does? It's all about the ratings..

Who wants to be married to Rosie O'donnel even on tv? Noone. I think the reasoning is that it seems more acceptable to people for men to be fat than women. It is not fair but I can't lie... I am not a big girl fan.

yes...i have noticed, and a lot of times it is that way in real life. it just goes to show that the female is the superior gender because we are not as shallow as most men
