There are two issues: Firstly, is your PC running slow and, secondly, is your ISP have capacity problems? You need to go off line and 'play' with your PC and see if it is running slow - if it is then there is a host of things you can do to return it to full steam. However, if it runs per normal then you can blame your ISP - and the problem is usually temporary and will correct itself shortly; if it doesn't then it's time to change ISP suppliers.

If you have Norton antivirus this makes speeds slow down. I was advised to uninstall it by a BT engineer and they actually include it in their Broadband package. I have since downloaded Kaspersky for a free one month trial and found speeds increased. I now have AVG and it seems just fine, working of course with the Microsoft firewall.
Everyone seems to condemn Norton if you look on the net.
