Why don't women go naked on top?

Notice I didn’t say topless! Men go with out shirts all the time. I’ve often wondered why women don’t. Most women I ask say it would feel good but don’t because it just isn’t done. Don’t you women sleep without anything covering your top? I don’t think it would be long until the novelty would wear off and no would notice

I do it all the time in private. I have nice cans, and it's a shame that it is illegal to show them off and get a nice tan in public places.

Well it's society and pretty much most men. There are many guys that act like nine year olds when it has to do with seeing boobs. I love boobs just as much as any other guys, but I have seen enough where there isn't that "shock value" for me anymore, and I can control myself from not staring if I wanted to. I think women being self-conscious is part of it as well. And, I don't know if it would be wise for a woman to be topless in a heavly populated city, where there would bound to be creepy dudes around. I think a lot of it has to do with America's society or views as well. The reason I say this is because there are many topless beachs, not nude beaches, all over Europe, where there are just as many guys as women, but they don't get stirred up like many American dudes, because their eyes have adjusted to the site of these body parts that are usually covered up.

Well where do we start??? oh yes...the fact thats illegal to go topless unless you are in a park or at a beach in a state that has passed a law saying its OK for women to go topless.....
Second, some of us have giant breasts that get in the way of things we do during the day...for me to try and BBQ without a good supportive bra on would be suicide....
Our nipples are a WHOLE lot more sensitive than the average man's and in a strong breeze....or hell, accidentally bump into a tree OUCH!....I saw a guy riding a motorcycle with his shirt off once...i thought 'that man wont have ANY nipples left !'
And lastly....many people have written lately (in the pregnancy category) that they HATE to see a woman breastfeeding her baby in public....HATE it when women 'just whip one out' for a baby....you may find more resistance to this idea than you thought!

I live in Ontario Canada, & a few years ago the right for women to go topless was challenged in the courts, & the women won!
(or maybe it was the men who won, depends on your point of view)
What I mean is that it is now perfectly legal for women to go topless in public in Ontario.
Now here's the sad part. I have not encountered one single woman going topless in public since then, NOT ONE! :(

So your question is a very good one, because at least here in Ontario, it can't be argued that a woman would get arrested if she went topless.

There has to be another issue, like us guys would look too much, & it would just be embarassing for them.
So if there are any women out there who have a burning desire to walk around topless in public, just come on up to Ontario.
I promise all the guys will welcome you with open arms.
(But wait until the end of May through to September before you come, it's cold outside at the moment)

sometimes i will sleep topless it does feel good. but I won't walk around my house topless...well during the summer I will its too cold during the winter...but with the blinds closed LOL don't want some perv in the bushes jacking off.

I think it has to do with security of the body. Most women don't think they look good naked...but what some girls don't understand is if your alone who's gonna see you but you for one and if your boyfriend/husband is around he'll think it's hot...dudes love to see a pair of boobs. And if its their mates even more so b/c the get to touch them and oogle them all they want and not be deemed as a perv!

Now, if you have kids in the house I would suggest against this b/c they will go to school saying mommy walks around topless...next thing you know the police are at your door threatening to take your children away. *shrug* I think it's ridiculous but welcome to America. Also, its against the law to walk around outside topless as female above the age about 10...let's say the developement age.

Yeah we conceal so that you poor souls can stay focused throughout your day.

Sure...I'll sleep in just panties in the summer, but that's a little different than going to the grogerie store topless!
The novelty would not wear off because breasts in our culture are prized possessions, sex objects, erotica etc. it's never going to be like they are in a 3rd world Country African Village, where they aren't valued as such.

I don't know how i feel about this as a child i thought it was unfair that both girls and boys were flat chested yet only boys got to run around without shirts, i sometimes still feel this way it'd be nice to go naked on top. I sleep in the nude unless ya know, lil rose red visits.

There are too many men that would not only look, but go in for a feel or sqeeze. I'm sure if we get used to it, there won't be so much gawking and worse.

I do think that some women should not go naked on top. Everything eventually goes south and is sometimes disturbing to look at.

I have asked this very same question a hundred times. I think it's prejudice, but the law states that women's breast are sexual organs and therefore cannot be publicly displayed. We would be arrested for indecent exposure.

Personally, I would love to be able to go topless all the time.

I luv to go topless. I sunbake topless in my pool all the time. I Luv having no tan lines on my chest. But I hate the reaction I get from some guys, so I only go topless where and when they can't see me.

I've wondered that all my life. When I lived in Australia,the first time I went to the beach with a male (Australian)friend, I was shocked to see him actually talking to a beautiful woman who was wearing nothing on the top, all the while giving her eye contact! He was used to seeing women clothes on top. I gotta say, there's nothing like feeling the sun on your bare chest.
