It is not impossible. Mythbusters did this. They put together a football-field sized piece of paper and folded it more than seven times. The guy above said 8, but I believe it was more like 11 times (with the help of a forklift). Episode 72.

There are limits to practically everything. I saw this on Myth Busters (Discovery Channel). It didn't matter what size paper was used, 7 was still the limit. One sheet of paper they used was the size of an airplane hangar.

Because what matters, in terms of folding, isn't the size, it's the thickness of what you're trying to fold. Every time you fold something, its thickness doubles. At some point, it's going to become too thick to fold.

no it is a well known fact that you can't fold a piece of paper more than 7 times, no matter what the size is.

because at that stage the paper is to dense to fold it anymore

I don't know why it's impossible, but It is any kind of paper even tissue paper or a kleenex... lol... thats all i had

maybe the fold creases get to thick to bend
