It's like all babies being gorgeous and growing up to be ugly - not mine of course. By the way, I have seen quite a few ugly brides - a big white dress does not make you turn into a supermodel.

Most women clean up pretty well. Get the face and hair done, put on a dress and shoes that cover most of her body and she's picture-ready.
Now look at the same woman with no cosmetics, hair that's just had comb run through it. Dress her in a sweatshirt and well-worn denim with flip-flops. Have her chase children all day so she's very tired.
Guys go through nearly the same thing, it just takes them less time to groom up and they are not usually chasing the kids all day.

That's one of the mysteries of the universe. As a woman I agree with you although I have seen brides that were "fugly" from the get-go.
I suppose once they "catch" the lucky (or unlucky) man, they just let themselves go . . . develop a butt you need a "wide load" sign for, use a wire brush every 8 days to untangle their hair. In an effort to recapture what once was, they dye their hair some god awful color and then leave it to grow out thus giving them the appearance of a "mutt".
In some ways guys are no bettter, but it they seem much easier to clean up.

After the man marries the beautiful woman, he takes away everything from her that she makes herself beautiful with so she doesn't look good to other men. Then she gets ugly from not taking care of herself. Then the man has affairs because he has an ugly wife he created.

It could be a few things.
1. They just got comfortable and let themselves go.
2. That comment is a lie!!!! There are some UGLY brides. You just don't tell them that they look ugly!

Maybe you should look around, some of the men don't make the best looking grooms or husbands either. Further more they are also fighting the laws of ugly, but people don't just get married based on looks there are other factors too!

So many husbands make their wives unhappy, the wife doesn't care to look pretty anymore. So if you want a pretty wife be good to her and keep her happy.

Don't forget there are alot of ugly men out there too, some people let themselves go, but there are lots of men out there with big beer bellies and baldy heads, so not hot.

What is your idea of ugly? That is so hateful, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it is what is on the inside that counts!
