At school, we can't have pets with feathers, fur, or fangs. I'm getting sea urchins but was hoping for something a bit more cuddly... or at least something that will interact with me more than moving their spines awkwardly... any ideas (besides reptiles... the school doesn't take well to those either, plus they weird me out a little)?

A pig doesn't have fur, feathers, or fangs. A baby pig could be cuddly...I think.

No reptiles, fur, feathers or fangs pretty well limits you to a fish. Can't think of anyhting cuddly that wouldn't posess at least one of those features.

I am thinking that the school does not what you to have a pet...What about a hermit crab, we had one when i was in the fourth grade, no we had two, and we took them out on the play ground and let them walk around in the sand and sand, they are not that fast so they are easy to pay attention to, and they are hard to kill to, so they are good with small kids!! Good luck!

I think you've pretty much eliminated the animal kingdom. How about a pet rock? Or a robot dog.

I had a hermit crab once and he was awesome! Definitely get one to see if you like it! You can get different size and color shells for him to grow into so that he'll look neat at different stages in his life. It's really easy to take care of them, too.
