If you are feeling depressed and want to go to counseling to talk to someone about it, and the reason you are feeling depressed is because of your husband, would it be considered mental health counseling or marriage counseling? Thanks!

If you go solo to a counselor for your depression, that would be mental health. If you go together to work on your relationship or how your depression stems from it, then it would be marriage.

Either way, it's counseling. Don't get hung up on whether it's marriage or mental health - both are the same. It doesn't matter at all what its called as long as it works and it sounds like you need to talk to someone.
