My Blazer started to act really strange today. It had problems starting and then it would not shift out of 2nd gear. I pulled over and checked my trans. fluid. The car was almost bone dry. I just had my oil changed amost 1,000 miles ago and they said that they checked everything. I hope that putting more fluid in will help with the car not shifting. If you have any other ideas please let me know

It takes Dexron III/Mercon trans fluid. It sounds like you have a leak somewhere. I would substitute a quart of trans fluid with a quart of Trans X. It makes the seals and gaskets swell to stop leaks and it may help with shifting.

Dextron 3 mercon. Dont use type f. You need to make sure you check it while its warm and idling in park. Also if yoyu had your service done at a national chain like Jiffy lube I would take it back and complain. You paid for something that didnt get done.
