it makes sense to have either
1) a moustache
2) moustache and beard
3) clean shaven
But only muslims have beard without moustache. Why does lincoln have a beard without a moustache ?

"But only Muslims have beard without moustache". This is your statement, it may or may not be valid, moustache and beard are very style oriented personal choices. Even most religious person takes, exception to certain practise that may not fit the person's life style or liking..........
Lots of people do not like a moustache because it does create a problem while eating and drinking some foods.

Have you ever had to clean snot out of a mustache? maybe he had allergies. It was just the style of the day. The English Parliament still wears wigs! Hairstyles morph and change all the time.

It is individual choice Why do SOME women wear shortskirts/ mini skirts? is it something in their Bible? Why do some people wear purple shirts? is it something in their Bible? He had moustache which he used to save,that is his personal chioce,nt.by any dictum,it is fashion statement ,what he liked.
