I know everyone is different but I have had 2 kids and with both of them I lost my plugs and went into labor 2 weeks after the loss of the plug I was contracting as well but they really didn't do much, I was 2 cm dilated for atleast a month before each birth so everyone is different but I say it really could be anytime.

i have a 4 month old, and i lost my plug and delivered 10 hours later. i stayed at home until my contractions were 5 minuites apart for 1 hour. this helped because i was comfy at home, and once i got to the hospitak, i never had long to go. i its your 1st baby, u probaly have a while, if you are unsure of anything, go to the hospital. better safe rthan sorry. good luck.

When I went into labor with my son and lost my plug, I was told to IMMEDIATELY go to the hospital. The doctors told me that the mucus plug is what protects the baby from infection. I would say NOW would be a great time to go. That was at 3pm and my son was born at 6:23pm.
