What should I wear to my semi- formal.
I have no idea what my date is wearing but probably a tux or something halfway decent he doesnt dress up, or even like to

During daylight hours do not wear black, but it is appropriate to wear black in the evening. Go for a black dress that doesn't look too severe. Think Julia Robert's cocktail dress in Pretty Woman.
You want the material to be dressier than normal every day stuff you wear. If you're having trouble distinguishing between what could be determined as sleek, then try to wear something made of one of the following:
Brocade
Chiffon
Satin
Taffeta
Organza
Chantung
Silk
Crepe
Also, to be in compliance with the semi-formal dress code, ensure that the skirt is at, or below, the knee (but not to the floor - that would make it formal).

Semi-formal is much easier I think that formal. I have attached a link that I think will give you a better idea of what semi-formal means and what to wear. I suggest that you pick a nice outfit (prehaps a great dress) that looks great on you. It is all about you anyways - guys get off easy with their attire. Just make sure you feel and look wonderful and that is all that matters! Good Luck and have a great time!

With a semi-formal you can wear either a short or long dress. Try Marshalls or TJ Maxx for a bargain, or the Jr's section at Nordstroms. Have fun!

Without knows you colouring, its hard to tell... but i definately think you should wear a dress! However it being a semi-formal it wont be too dresses! pinks, reds and blacks (obviously not together) work well for these types of occasions! you can always, if your date wants to, match your dress colour to his bow tie (if he wears one)... Also, just below the knee is the most flattering length of dress and strapless always looks nice! Hope this helps a little. JoJo xxx

Just wear what you think is appropriate for what your going to. If he's not dresses up and he asks you why your dresses up.......tell him you didnt know...he is your date!!!
but w.e just pick something................

i recommend heels definately. with a siimple dress. i can tell you what im wearing: black strapbless bubbly dress with heels. really hot, justs makes your date melt.
