The one incident that brought this question to mind was the fact that Angelina Jolie did not put one the happy face for the camera at the Golden Globes. The media criticized her for being "aloof". The fact is she was grieving over her mother's recent death. I just wonder why in the world does the media criticize celebs for being human. Is she supposed to be smiling for the cameras, and she just lost her dear, close mom? I just think that the media is really pathetic about their criticisms a lot of times. What do you think?

I think the movie stars are there to make movies. As far as being ambasadors of perfection, it's just silliness.

I mean, for some reason, people need to know the "dirt" on celebs. People want to hear that they are mean or careless. The fact is that, to me, I'd be happy for hearing the good stuff more than the bad. I like hearing about celeb lives because they have a more interesting lifestyle than I do.

I'm not sticking up for the media, but they didn't know about Angelina's mother, still, they are too criticle. They look for the most unflattering angles, the most horrilbe sentences and print them in magizines. They give what they think the people want.

i hate the media and the tabloids, etc.... they try and get a story, and when they have one, they twist the words up that the celebrities say, and then their fans read it and get all mad about something they really didnt say... and all the media cares about is how skinny the celebrities are getting.. i agree with whoever said their humans just like us... yeah, they get paid A LOT more, and yea, their names are well known... but have you ever heard the saying " their sh!t stinks too"? people act like the celebrities are perfect and dont make mistakes... do you know how many get caught drunk driving? or get their pictures taken and clubs, etc...? a lot... they just want to have fun whenever they can just like us...

i agree...these people do not know what is really going on in these celebrities lives. they are human just like us. i do have to say that i don't mind hearing about the things that celebrities are doing now a days but i don't like the bad press towards the celebrities. they have their good days and bad days just like us. there are just caught on camera. i think papparazzi should back off in cases like that. but that's how they make their money.
