It seems like 1/2 of the blacks I know jam to Led Zeppelin. I was just wondering if is just a few that I know or are there many of you blacks that like Zeppelin music.

Just curious and I think it's great. I believe it helps break down the stereotypes of black people that all they like is rap music.

For the very same reasons Whites still jam to Zepp. They rock!

EDIT:

darylicked-

Time frame & location may have a lot to do w/ that. Back in those days, it generally "wasn't cool" to like rock if you were Black or into disco if you were White. Silly, of course. But what many have been fessing up in recent years was that both sides liked the other 'secretly'.

PS
I'm Black. & for those who've never seen a Black person go near Zepp, just look at P. Diddy (annoying as that was).

Why does it matter how many blacks or how many whites listen to Zeppelin? We listen to whatever we like. I don't feel that all black people listen to is Rap music. But like you said they stereotype. I've seen lots of people jam to Country, Oldies, Light Classical, and many others. There is no music that has a certain black, white, asian, etc. that only listen to them. Weird question but I guess if you want to know something come on here. There are weird questions everywhere.

I have never seen a black person listen to Led Zepplin. I remeber going to a concert of theirs in 1978. It was 100% white faces. The most segregated place I've ever been.

I haven't ever personally met a black person that likes to get the Led out, but I find them godly. The Immigrant Song is frickin awesome!!! And music is transcendant of every race. It is universal.

I feel that Blacks probably ask the same question when they see whites listening to reggae and rap, worse tho is when whites think they are black they get the accent going on,the walk.Quite funny to see some go lol.
