Clive Barker's HELLRAISER plays on the idea of 'body horror'. The human form is something that our sub-conscience mind understands and accepts as normal and alright. When that form is altered in some way, it naturally and even with out us realizing it, leaves us with an uneasy feeling.
This is why young children will stare at an amputee or a burn victim, they know something is not right with what they are seeing, but their limited knowledge doesn't allow them to understand why.

learn now that anything out of hollywood is disturbing and insane. they go for the shock effect these days because they can't rely on good story lines written by competent writers, and less talented cast-- i read that the people involved would rather be paid in drugs than $, hollywood will take a dive-youll see.

Depends, what scene. The one that made me laugh though(it may disturb you), is when that lady beats a guy to death with a hammer. Then the frickin' demon dude came out and sucked him dry. That's what could be disturbing.
