Well, I am not a math genius, but 75,000 chickens equals 80%. Next, you take this amount and divide it by 4. 75 000/4 = 18 750 chickens. This represents 20%. Since 80% + 20% = 100%, 75 000 + 18 750 = 93 750. This is the number of chickens Hong Kong receives every day.

The answer is right in the question, and I can't believe you need help with this. If Mainland China ships 75,000 chickens to Hong Kong every day, and that is 80% of their daily supply, then the equation you need to set up is 80% of x = 75,000 and solve for 'x'.
I know you can do the math to get the correct answer.

I get 9,375 and here's how I did it. Mind you it's been a while since I was in school....
7,500 divided by 80=937.5, which is equal to 1% of the chickens that are shipped. Multiply 937.5 x 100 = 9375 or 100%.

You can check the answer by multiplying the (1% number) 937.5 x 80 (%) and that should equal the 7,500 figure..........
