First I would like to get my eyebrows professionally shaped (by plucking), but there are these lighter hairs on top of my eyebrows that if they're plucked grow back quickly, & if waxed the skin stays red for a week & makeup won't stick on top.

So I was thinking would threading be a better alternative for those lighter hairs on top of the darker haired brows? Does it last longer than plucking? And what is the range of costs? And is it also possible to get it done in between the brows?

Oh yeah, & when you get your eyebrows professionally shaped...um, how do they determine the best shape for your face?

Do they follow the natural shape of your brows, or what? Because I know my natural shape isn't the best frame for my face, so is it possible to bring in pictures of a shape I like?

Right plucking is easier, cheaper but mistakable.Threading is easier a little more costly but less painfull. Also speak to possible friends, family that might of had it done in the past.Research possible results and how it could cause side effects due to redness appearing on your skin.Have a look at average prices in Salons around your area. When booking an appointment be sure to ask there opinion to remember they are there for advice and not just a service.

Threading removes the hair at the root, the same as waxing and plucking, so its effects will last the same amount of time. Threading will cost a little more than waxing because it is not as common. You can get it done anywhere, even between your eyebrows.

Just get them waxed. I'm your age too! Tell them just to do "a clean up" and they get the un wanted hairs without making them look small :)
