If they dont accept message just type your answer in "additional comments"

Not really that kind of a site (but I read a book recently that says that's par for the course, that few things are ever used as intended, so they always get redesigned--maybe Yahoo will make "threads" available to Y!A).

Meanwhile, the other thing to do is to edit your own answer to add a comment and hope the other person sees the added message.
