I've only been to 3 countries in Africa, but there were good (and bad of course) things in each:
1. Ethiopia - Great food, friendly people, good looking women, one of the most unique countries I have ever been too. Alphabet, music, foods are like no other place on earth. Plus it was an empire when I was there, how many of those are there still.
2. Kenya - Only there for a week, liked the game reserves, people and food.
3. Egypt - Cairo is one of my favorite cities on earth, a noisy, crowded, lively place that's unbelievably safe for a city its size. Egyptians are some of the most friendly people I've ever met (up there with Brazilians and Thais). Great food and music.

It's a beautiful Continent, full of different cultures, with great landscapes, many natural resources and problems unfortunately; I've been there once, but I'm planning to go take another trip, to Ghana this time, (last time I went to Morocco), and maybe South Africa; got some very good friends in both countries, and I must say I can't wait to see them!

The WHOLE continent?
What do you mean, what do I think about it? In what sense?
There is a great deal more to the continent than the limited view given in the second answer here.

I think it's in pretty bad shape. Starvation, poverty, and racism are big problems in Africa.
