My husband of 17 years walked out on me and my two teenage sons. Shortly after he left, I met a great girl who is a lesbian. She has let me know that she likes me, maybe for more than just friends. I like hanging out with her. We have lots of fun together and seem to have a lot in common. I think about her often. Could I be bisexual?

You aren't until you do.

BTW, she won't make you pregnant, but you can still catch an STD from her, so if you do, have a little talk first, okay?

Nothing in what i read makes me think that you could be Bisexual at all as a matter of fact i more so think that you are just showing your human side ... it is a very common thing to want to be wanted especially after something has happened that has you second guessing yourself (such as a man walking out on you)
There is nothing wrong with wanting to be close to someone and it not necessarily mean anything more then simple wanting to be close to someone ... put it this way would you consider it to be wrong if she was a man ?? well in that case why is it bisexual b/c you enjoy spending time with her and you have also found that you and she both have a lot of things in common.
May i also add that it is perfectly natural to try and find comfort in a person of the same sex when the opposite sex has done something to make you feel that you can no longer trust them .. etc.
To be honest with you it just to me sounds like a person who is Friends with another woman who also happens to be lesbian... who knows maybe she will teach you how to reconnect with your divine feminine energy as you seem to have shut yourself off from your goddess energy.
Just a thought ...
Good luck with any and all decisions you make from here on out.

It could just be a girl crush. Now if you are having sexual desire for her than there is a good chance that yes, you could be bi. Hang tight and see what happens. In any case, she sounds like a good friend so make sure you dont jump into anything before you are ready and screw the friendship up. Good luck to you.

Do you feel sexual desire for her?

If not, you're probably not bisexual, in my opinion anyway. You might want emotional closeness with her, or even to cuddle for comfort, but without the sexual dimension there's no bisexuality present.

Not if you don't want to have sex with her. Haven't you had a best friend before? Just because you enjoy someone's company doesn't mean you have to jump into bed with them.
