I am 22 and I've never had a checking account for fear of overdrafting and not being able to manage it. Well it is a real hassel to cash my checks without one. It's time for me to get one, so is there any website that can teach me how to manage and use a checking account???

The best thing to do is to go to the bank that you want to open the account with. Sit down and talk to a person there. They will be able to teach you everything you need to know and answer any of your questions.

Also, you can get an account that doesn't have overdraft. Mine doesn't. I can't take out more than what I have in the bank.

Why does a web site need to teach you when the bank its self would do a hands on demonstration for free? Plus you can go online and check out all activity of your account including pending transactions. You can build a working relationship with the bank which is a very neat thing to have. Good luck and remember- just because you have checks does not mean you have funds available..................

Find a reputable bank to help you with your questions. That is what they are there for. and if you keep your sending in check you won't have to worry about overdraft fees.

Why don't you ask your parents to help you, it's really easy, you could even ask at the bank when you open the account.
