I know some parents are against Radcliffe baring it all in "Equus", but isn't that a choice of his, not theirs? I know kids and all look up to him, but it's just a play anyways. I'm just wondering though whether this would affect the HP movie franchise cos he still has 3 films left (books 5, 6 & 7).

Then it looks like Radcliffe has only one film left in the HP series since production of HP5 is done and HP6 & 7 will most likely be combined. Thanks for the info, guys!
I just came across an article entitled "Second graders wow audience with school production of Equus". I think that should shut the parents up a bit.

i hope it doesnt!
parents need to realize that "harry" is growing up, and cant be that same "lil ol' harry" for ever! and i dont see why they are getting so worked up over his new role...if you dont want your children to see this film, this play, then dont allow them to view it..its as simple as that...plus i think Equus will only be airing in london anyway...and i believe its only a play...
i dont think it will really affect the potter series at all...unless some angry mob of parents begin to boycott the movie...but, knowing kids/teens...they will definitely find a way to view the new potter film!
p.s. jk rowling said that there are seven books...but she will only do 6 movies...which probably means shes combining books 6 and 7 together...hope ive helped you out!!
P.S. (daniel radcliffe is only 17, not 18!)

Harry's eyes are very important in the books. A lot of people in the book admire his green eyes which he got from Lily. But in the movies, they don't think eyes are really that important. They give more importance to the hair. Have you noticed that some characters change their hairstyle in every part. For example Dumbledore. 1st and 2nd movie hes got a very long straight hair and beard. When Michael Gambon took the part in 3rd, 4th, and 5th movie, his hair became shorter and wavy, as well as his beard. When we saw the 6th movie, they changed again his hair to straight. What about Harry, how many times did he change his hair in the movies? What I'm trying to say is they don't really care for the small details. They started him with blue eyes so they will finish the story with him having those blue eyes. Plus, Daniel Radcliffe said before that people should not be perfectionist. Books are totally different from movies. Movies are just the adaptation of books. You wouldn't expect them to put everything that's in the books

Most KIDS won't know about his part in "Equus" (except, perhaps in the UK) -- the bigger deal parents make of it, the more curious the children will be about it. (My opinion is that American parents need to CHILL!) I don't think this will have much effect on the Harry Potter phenomena.

It shouldn't but you know how people are. He is an actor, not Harry Potter and should be able to act anyplace he chooses.
And if parents take thier kids to see Equus, they need to have child services called on them. Its not for kids. So it shouldn't even be on thier radar.

He is an actor and he is acting in a play. What is there to talk about? He's just acting. That's what he does. Why should that effect the Harry Potter movies? And him being nude isn't the whole play. So stop talking about it so much.

I don't see why it should matter unless they were planning on taking their kids to see the play. He's an actor and Equus is a great play.

I don't think the nudity will be a problem, but the concept of having erotic sex with horses may cause some problems with his future acceptance by the Mom and Dad crowd.

I'm going to be honest I don't think he will make it through. He's growing up too fast in real life. I've seen of the pictures of him posted on the web and he really has grown up.
