I'm a dancer and I live in NYC. At the ABT studios they have a box in the dressing room where you can donate your used pointe shoes. Does anyone know where else I can donate my pointe shoes? I have lots lying around that I can't use anymore. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. Many inner city dance schools are always looking for some extra dance shoes whether they be ballet, tap, or jazz. Nyc is a great place...and you can find many studios who would be glad to accept the donation!

You can donate them to ballet studios located in towns that need help. I live in the NYC area and my dance school donates used dance shoes to a dance school in Paterson, NJ for people who love dance but cant afford the shoes. You should maybe look into Paterson.

Perhaps one of the dance schools in Harlem. Call the ballet school up there and ask if they need pointe shoes. Also, Broadway Dance Theatre.
