Kashmir issue has been blown out of proportion by Pakistan at the behest of some Kashmiris.
Pakistan wants some compensation for the lost cause of east Pakistan(Now Bangladesh) in mid 70's.
Kashmiris have added fuel to the fire. They think that since they(Muslim in particular) are in majority they should have a say in the division/bifurcation or in political solution. This concept is weird as you can vote in election in that manner, not in the division of the state, which is a much larger issue.
Muslims of India are very much the citizens of India like any other citizens and they vote freely in the election. But would it be fair if they are asked to vote whether they would want Agra or any other Muslim dominated region to go with Pakistan? By the same token you cannot say that New Jersey is a part of India because many Indians live there.
Kashmiris have lived in hallucination and this is the root cause of the problem. Once this hallucination is broken, the problem will be solved. They have lived as part of India nurturing a dream to live with Pakistan, which is unfair. The claims of a territory by forceful occupation will always be treated as incursion in this modern world. Alexander the great lived in the past.

The kashmir issue will be solved only if there is political will on
both sides. This will happen only when the kashmir issue ceases
to become an election issue. The people of india and pakistan
should understand that peace between them is the only way that
they can survive in this world

yes Kashmir issue will be resolved and we will get our paradise back if and only if prime minister of India really thinks himself, not the thinking of Sonia Gandhi. He is katputali.

You are not going to get it back but join with Pakistan. What about the Kashmiri Pandits who too are an integral part of the state from which you have driven them out. If you have a solution for both the above things than the Kashmiri issue may get resolved.
