For example, if you were out there and the weather is not good, freezing winter weather, and you see an old person with no jacket on, would you give your own jacket for that person?

I'm gonna be honest...
Right now when I think about it I will say I would but when I think about it, if I ever do see an old man without a jacket, I dont think I'd do it...I mean it wouldn't strike me at that time to give and old man my jacket....

Just wanted to be truthful......

Depends if it is an old woman or an old man. If it were a woman of course, for a old man I would try to make chit chat with him first, and see just how cold he really was, because i wouldn't want to seem patronizing.

i think that would be a very nice thing to do. especially since they might already have health problems. i wouldnt want anything bad to happen...you could probably handle the cold better(im guessing). the question becomes more difficult though when you have a really expensive coat or it is not even yours. Then I would let him or her borrow it if you were staying in the same place.

Yes, if they wanted it, then I would tell them to please wear a coat, not a jacket next time, because I would be mad to give it up to be honest, but that's what I would say.

No, I would probably guide that old person to a warm area, and ask what they are doing outside alone.
