One of my best buddies {A Brit} told me few years back that British Govt.has been helping secretly the IRA I truly don't know how far it is true but I strongly invite you to look into it.Bob had nothing to gain by telling me his side of the story.[I mean to say Lie] I think it is all Money and corruption Just like PLO.Yasser Arrafat made 2 to 5 Billion Dollar in his life time .I have very little clue about IRA may be they are the same ball of wax too.Sorry to say but that is the way all these Organizations works MAKE MONEY BY PLAYING THE SENTIMENT OF PEOPLE.

I think that the IRA is NOT selling out to the English. The IRA led by Sinn Fein and Gerry Adams are taking the political road for a number of important reasons.

The main reason is that since 9/11 the world's tolerance for terrorism has disappeared or at the very least greatly diminished. America(ns) especially, who helped fun the IRA have insisted that Sinn Fein try the peaceful road.

Another Omagh style bombing in the world of 2007 would also help bury the IRA (and Real IRA)'s standing and the UK could then have license to frankly do whatever it wanted to the seperatists movement.

Under the Good Sunday agreement Gerry Adams finally has a chance to bring his views publically to the world. Last Sunday's speech was a major stepping stone towards peaceful coexistence (and maybe independence down the road - who knows?) in that the IRA/Sinn Fein will now have direct involvement in helping monitor and participate in policing Northern Ireland. This will help lend credibility to the IRA both north and south of the border.

I truly hope that Sinn Fein and the IRA continue down the road of peace and maybe one day with such a track record they will help govern Northern Ireland.

So, I guess you want people to die for your cause, when the goal can just as easily be acheived peacefully. I've lost three cousins in N. Ireland. I love Eire. But, I absolutely HATE people who feel that bombs are the only way to conduct a political change. Get a grip, and go drink a pint.
