Can someone help me with installing themes, etc. on my Stepmania?

I just recently downloaded Stepmania to my computer. I had no problem download the songs on there, but when I get to setting up themes & backgrounds for the game, it doesn't work. Can an expert please help me with this?

check this site out http://stepmaniathings.com/guide.php , it has basic stuff on how to install add-ons on stepmania, and you can download some themes.

well, my friend loves stepmania and has a bunch of backgrounds on it. i think there's a website where it shows you how to do it. i'll ask him
