No. It means they have chosen not to be bothered (as have I) with hundreds of spam or worse from users here.
I value their privacy. You can always leave a comment if you choose them as best answer.

yes, I just make a comment. Or another thing you can do is click on their avatar, go to their Q&A page and answer one of their questions. Just tell them what you want to that way.

Yes it does... But it saddens me that some people have to resort to that in order to protect themselves against stalkers etc, because Yahoo is too incompetent and the protection they provide doesn't suffice

Yes it does! Why do they do that what are they afraid of r what do they have to hide. This is a great way to make new friends so why not FAF.

only a little bit. who knows how old the person you want to email is? their parents might have it rightly blocked. you can always offer them the opportunity to contact you in your answer.

I've had people answer questions that got me so annoyed I wished I could email them and REAM them for it.
I hate when I get an "I don't know" answer. If you don't know, then don't frakking answer!

yes ! and their has been some times when their is someone out their who realy needs someones help and you can't contact them either..
