I don`t see America`s conservatives doing this. Why are people like Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, John Kerry and countless other leading liberals from America making such a habit out of bashing their own country and it`s allies from our enemies` soil ? Are these the type of people Americans are looking to for leadership ? Of course not...but, what do you think ?

Very good point. On the one hand they seek the "glory" of high public office. Then they turn around and stab the US in the back abroad. Can't have it both ways. Sure, we are entitled to debate and disagree but every American, particularly politicians, should refrain from outright denigration.

Because the nations conservatives believe in America. The nations conservatives believe in President Bush's policy in the Middle East, but politics don't allow them to say it.
Has anyone figured out what the demoncrat platform is? Is there anything that they've actually done in their first however many days in office that is actually going to help America? We've lost 3000 troops in 4 years in Iraq and Afganastan. Not millions.

Unlike the sissy-snob, girlyman, pro-war draftdodgers who run the Republic Party, Democrats also travel to foreign countries as soldiers fighting for America. Only a Mama's Boy who hates his Daddy for not getting rich and spoiling him can support the Preppy Republic.

When a chickenhawk wraps himself in the American flag, he is crossdressing. Chickenfeed boytoys for the rich aren't real Americans either.

Perhaps these are the people who realise that there is a world outside of the US and that the vast majority of us think the George Bush's administration is an incredably dangerous one whose actions in Iraq and the Middle East have increase the risk of US suffering a terrorist attack (don't forget, we in the UK have suffered from 2 terrorist attacks as a direct result of the invasion of Iraq).

In Britain, 69% of those questioned say they believe US policy has made the world less safe since 2001, with only 7% thinking action in Iraq and Afghanistan has increased global security.

62% of Canadians and 57% of Mexicans say that the world has become more dangerous because of US policy.

36% of Israelis think Bush has added to the risk of international conflict (as opposed to 25% who think he hasn't. A further 30% say that at best he has made no difference).

75% of Britons think Mr Bush is a great or moderate danger to peace (he was only beaten by Bin Laden who 87% think is a great or moderate danger to peace). Compare this with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (President of Iran - 62% think he is a danger to peace), Kim Jong-Il (North Korean leader - 69%) and the leader of Hizbullah, Hassan Nasrallah (65%).

Perhaps prominent Democrats get that the US needs friends a lot more than it needs enemies, and are trying to take steps to mend some of the bridges that Bush has burned.

Oh, I love it, Cardinal Fang. A Brit with poll. Wow, that's facts.

I lived in your hateful country for awhile. The only Americans who didn't get crapped on all the time by the Brits were those who bashed the USA.

Admit it, it has nothing to do with politics.

They have to do something a little different than they usually do so the media will pick up their latest opinions.

It slays me how someone goes to Iraq for 2 days and then considers themself an expert on the subject.

British English, that's a 'distant places accessory' to me, is the absolute coolest of something, different than in its maximum crude dialects (and that i might say the same and worse with regard to the crude dialects of my own American accessory). The French women are impressive in spite of the undeniable fact that, particular. yet additionally, i've got stumbled on the Dutch accessory to be incredibly thrilling. and that i ensue to love the German accessory myself. Heidi Klum... rrrraow.

That reminds me of something Winston Churchill once said:

"When I am abroad I always make it a rule never to criticise or attack the Government of my country. I make up for lost time when I am at home."

What class!
