I appoligize in advance to those who hate LONG questions ;)
Alright...Hes in a commercial where he used to be a rapper and then he downgraded to McDonalds...do you find that insulting and offensive because when we were young, we started with Mcky D's...or do you (like me) just think its just a commercial..let it be funny.. laugh it off..take no offense...he really did downgrade..Not to say that Mcky D's is a bad place to work..but common..from MILLIONS to $7.25/hr...
Anyway what is your take???

I think it's funny.
That said, the problem with the commercial isn't that it is offensive to individuals, but that it's offensive to the corporations and the bigwigs in these corporations who are in charge of ensuring that their shareholders make money.
Commercials work, that's why there are so many of them, and showing fast food restaurants in a negative light could very well damage their bottom line. I don't personally believe that it will hurt the money making ability of fast food restaurants, but that is the argument. The National Restaurant Association works on behalf of restaurants (not their minimum wage employees) so they can say it's offensive to the common worker all they want, I don't believe that is really their position.

No, I do not find this commercial offensive. Where do people come up with this stuff. Always trying to find the bad out of everything. It was meant to be funny. And it is. I don't think anything bad of McDonalds after seeing it. So get over it people.

I really don't think it's insulting... McDonald's is a place to work, and it's insulting to Federline because he knows he is a nobody. Let's face it, unless you're Ray Kroc, you're not famous from working at Mickey D's. Federline could have done this commercial because he is hitting rock bottom, much like Axl Rose, who also landed a job at McDonald's after his career faltered and he spent all of his money.

Because most people find the commercials funny. If they just had a boring commercial that told about the product people wouldn't listen. They want your attention. What commercial are you talking about? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

I don't know anyone who takes pride in working at a fast food restaurant... or any restaurant. I don't really understand why people would get so upset over the ordeal. If people have that much pride working at a McD's, they should have enough pride to overlook the commercial.

This will be the one commercial I will be running to the kitchen to get more beer so I dont have to see such a pathetic human being. Can you say leech. I think he should be set in the middle of a stadium and let only fast food workers in and let them thrash him.

This contemporary PC world needs to step back and laugh once in a while. People are easily offended and others are too willing to bend over backwards to appease only one particular group.
