Some ppl put a line through the center of a seven so it won't get mistaken for a 1 look at the one....it can look like a seven a little

It's known as the 'German 7' because in that county they write the number 1 very much as we write a figure 7. To avoid confusion they draw a little bar across the 7 so that the numbers are easily recognised. It comes from the days when Germans wrote in script rather than cursive writing.

The short 'cross bar' is used to distinguish the 7 from a 1 in some countires. Very common in Europe and Australia. I learned that style in school in Canada.

when you see a seven like that:
you call it "OLD SCHOOL" that's an old school seven. that's how schools taught how to write the number seven back in the day. people still do it now so they will know it's a seven and won't be confused as another number.
