Alydaeus? I want a unique name for my daughter, and Alydaeus suits her. She can go by Aly for short :). I really don't like the popular names, and this name just make her seem so unique and special :). What do you think of the name?

A little too unique... I like common names... I hate it when teachers can't pronounce my legal name on the first day of school and I have to tell them I go by something else. I like Aly better than Alydaeus.

I'm not quite sure how to pronounce it so I can tell you right now, that it may be toooo unique, at least for me. If you are gonna call her aly, why not just name her that instead of putting her through the awful experience having to explain it for the rest of her life? I'm not wild about the present popular names, but in my opinion its just a little 2 far out there, if you want to do unique, and beleive me, their is nothin wrong with that-do at least somethin a little easier to pronounce! :)

She's just a little baby, please don't hang that on her. She'll have to explain her name all her life. Life will be tough enough without Alydaeus.
She'll be asked a million times to spell it, and what does it mean, and what did your mother have against you ?

umm, its very unique. personally, i dont like it very much. your daughter will probably have to live through the ridicule of it for the rest of her life. also, people will have a really hard time pronouncing it and her whole life she will have to be correcting people.
you can still have a nice unique name without going over the top. i really like the name isabella :)

Sorry I wouldn't go there. Sounds like you saw the play Amadeus and tried to copy is. If you like Aly why not Alyson? Or even Alys (prounced Alice) or Alycia?
And Jae?
Sorry just can't live with your imagination . . . and why AJ?

it sucks, anything that is so contrived, sucks. not to mention all of the guys that will be saying "rock me alydaeus" to her. she doesn't deserve that.

This could be rough for her when she is of school age - even if she goes by Aly. Keep in mind that she will have this name for her entire life.

It is really unique. I can guarantee you won't find many people with that name. Are you going to give her a middle name?

mmmm....don't really like it. But that's just me. How would you even say it. You should think about that it might be difficult for her. Aly is cute but kinda common. It's your baby, it's up to you!
