Technically, it's a sphere. It's the Earth's atmosphere, comprised of all the gaseous matter above the ground that is held in place by Earth's gravity. A sphere. Same shape as the planet.

Hi Pinky! Is that really your photo? I think I'm in love. The last time I looked outside, it pretty well stayed within the proximity of the earth, which is taunted as being round.
