Let me give you my close personal celerbrity's phone number and U2 can get involved. It is 1 800 Bono... Well, the intention is good, but why us? We are a small slice of the pie. Who doesn't want to help the undernourished children of the world, but this is not why I signed onto Yahoo. The message should be displayed to a much wider audience. Unicef has been in the news lately for child pornography charges (Belgian administrator?) and there have been other allegations. No one or very few don't want the best for the children of the world, but all this focus on one group makes me wonder. Are those at the top receiving more than those they are supposed to be helping?

Yes its insulting. I'm all for donating to a good cause but don't tell me which ones! If all the celebrities who preach to the rest of us pooled their resources they could probably end poverty or at least put a big dent in it.

no it doesn't, it makes me ALOT mad.
these filthy rich celebrities who bask in wealth and luxury everyday of their lives jab at us common folk about poverty to ease their own guilt.
they know they are privileged and have it way better than we do. but instead of donating one of their many mansions, luxurious cars, private jets, or all those extra millions they don't need, they try to redirect the blame on the populace and push guilt trips on hard working people who can hardly afford their bills. makes me sick!!!

not at all, they are people and they are entitled to their opinions. everyone saying they should give away their money... well, most of them do give away a lot of their money to the causes they believe in. the fact is though, money doesnt fix all problems anyhow. when you think about it, you have to be kinda sick to think that it would. theese celebrities you ask about think that helping poor people is important... and they are right... donate money if you can... or someting more valuable, your time. or at least vote for people that think this is also a priority. stop being such haters... like silky johnson (chappelle show reference, sorry).

As much as I hate to admit it, I was watching Oprah awhile back.
They were talking about getting out of debt and they had debt specialists on. She made a comment like; "Well I hope you guys can help them out of debt because I sure don't have any money to give them."
Oh did that ever infuriate me! Yes, they make me sick saying stuff like that.
