I agree with the previous poster. Orange Hill is a very very very nice place to go. It sits on top of this hill (that I think it owns...not sure), and gives you a magnificient view.
If you want really LA, go to www.gayot.com to check out reviews on restaurants.
1. Click on the Restaurants link
2. Click on Los Angeles link in featured cities box
3. Enter your preferences in the search box
It's always good to get more reviews if possible, so if you find a couple restaurants you like, google them, read reviews on other sites, and visit the restaurant website if it has one.
And if the previous poster and I have made you interested about Orange Hill, here's the webiste:
http://www.theorangehillrestaurant.com/
One last note: If you decide Orange Hill, it's highly recommended that you make a reservation.

i'm not sure how previous you're, yet that could be a education... The Sky Room in long coastline is romantic. that is on the precise floor (14th) of the Breakers hotel, which develop into geared up interior the 20's, you get a 360 degree view of LB and the harbor. in addition they have stay bands (unfashionable enormous band stuff or perhaps flamenco) and a dance floor. The Sky Bar is particularly intense-high quality for until now or after dinner beverages. you may sit down exterior on the terrace looking out on the harbor and port which looks superb cool at evening. take a glance on the information superhighway web site and you will see pictures of the eating place, bar and the perspectives. particular, you're able to get her a contemporary.

Hotel Bel-Air Restaurant. We'll go there for breakfast on Valentine's Day. It's very impressive. Celebrities dine there with their families.

What? You haven't got reservations yet? Good Luck!!
Honestly, I work in a nice restaurant in San Francisco, and we've been booked for Valentines day for a month now.

Check out Pastis on Beverly. Or check out any of the awesome little restaurants tucked away on Beverly and/or Third in L.A. There are plenty of gems.

I agree, the Ivy By the Shore (in santa monica) is FABULOUS. or else the Trump National in LA (not sure if that is the exact name) is also delicious.
