Is your router wireless (does it have an antena)? If so, you just need the wireless access point for the XBox 360.

To go wireless (not running wires), you need a wireless router and a wireless access point for the XBox.

There are some solutions out there which allow you to run a the network line over the electric line in your house. However, I doubt this would be a cheaper solution.

You would either have to replace your router with a wireless router and then buy a wireless interface for the X-Box, or drill a hole in your upstairs floor and run a long cable directly to the router through it.

Phone lines have nothing to do with connecting to a router; they connect to the DSL modem only.

Hello ed2bizkit,

No, what you need is a wireless router.

Do you have a router or Modem? It sounds like you have a modem connected to your DSL line & your computer.

You need to get a wireless router, hook it to your modem then to your computer. Then you can connect to the internet from upstairs without wires.
