Hi, this a bit of a random problem, whenever i try and highlight and delete something using the "Backspace" button, it doesn't work

It could be your backspace button going bad. Maybe try using a different keyboard. Or, instead of using backspace, use delete.

try to turnoff ur computer and unplug the keyboard cable,restart windows,turn it off,plug the cord and try to use the backspace.

highlight and hit delete on your keyboard
