Ouch! That must of hurt when she so callously said that. To me, what she meant was that yes she loves you, but you aren't the long-term, forever type of relationship she'll settle for. Sorry for brutal honesty, but that's the way it is.

Find a different partner... This one sounds like she doesn't know what she wants or needs. Ask her to define "soulmate" and "love", and outline the difference, then you might have a better idea what is it that she's trying to say. She's using semantics to communicate something to you - possibly that she doesn't see herself being with you in the long run, although you're ok for now.

That sucks to hear but she is being honest with you. I have a couple of questions for her:

1) Does she know who her soulmate is?
2) Is she looking to be with her soulmate?

If the answer is yes to either then you are in trouble. Why did she tell you this? Is she setting you up for a break up? My advice is to prepare for worse news. She sounds like she is trying to let you down easy. Sorry man.

It depends on the context of the conversation. Did you ASK her if she thought you were her soulmate? If so, she may just mean that she doesn't believe in soul mates, but she knows she loves YOU. Were you having a conversation about soulmates to begin with? Again, she may just not believe in them. If, on the other hand, she offered the information without being asked first, or just out of the blue, and you happen to know she DOES believe in them, then she's just being honest.

As for what to do? Enjoy your relationship with her and don't worry about it.

Escape. Seriously.

When someone gives answers like that it means either they don't know how they feel, or they know EXACTLY how they feel and are just playing games with you. Don't get wrapped up in someone elses emotional confusion, and don't let someone play tiddly-winks with your heart while they wistfully dream of the next best thing on the horizon. I don't care who you are, you deserve better than that.

Life is uncertain enough. Nobody needs a significant other who doesn't even know what love is. Forrest Gump was freakin' retarded and even HE knew what love is

She love you but she does not intend on spending the rest of her life with you.
