did you have to pay for the beer yourself? (I doubt it)

HELL NO!!! I'm not tired at all. I just started. I'm 22 yrs old and I just became a legal drinker. I'm glad I was always taught that everything has it's time, so I didn't start drinking until 21 just b/c it never really tickled my fancy so when i turned 21 I started getting more into the bar and clubz scene. I guess it all depends if you're ready 2 settle down and not be in that scene anymore if not try something new!!!

I look at the bar scene differently now. I used to go to get drunk, or at least really buzzed, and look for men. And of course, I'd go to go dancing. That was in my early 20s. Now, I'll hang out at quieter bars to enjoy a drink and chat with friends or just to have fun with a different crowd. It's entirely a social environment, not a pick-up joint or a place to get drunk.

Yea...I started bar hopping again after my divorce three years ago, same thing last night it occured to me, I'm done with this..hence my question on quitting drinking and smoking dope, which I am (was clean for 5 years, see previous mention of divorce). So you want to go to a movie and get a pizza?

Did the same here. Plus, if you have a family to go home to and maybe something else other than the day to day drinking and getting out of control. It just gets old.

I was long tired of the bar scene: overpriced drinks on a short pull, listening to my pathetic friends, with pathetic pick up lines ("Do you sleep on your stomach? Can I?") towards equally pathetic women, talking to women who are just cruel (I spoke with one woman who said I was nice, but I was still a dork) and up way too late.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt

Good for you. That road leads to bad things. Stay home, enjoy your family, boyfriend or whatever, read a good book or come on here with us! We're always glad to have you.
