Because chix with hairy legs are nasty and guys with shaved legs are queer.

Some men do shave their legs...and more.
For example, those who are in certain types of sports. Such as swimming and those who ride bicycles shave. This way there is less drag from the hair to slow them down.
Also, some men shave their bodies for religious purposes.

I did a test with my boyfriend and did not shave my legs for a year unless he would. He never did, and after a while he got used to mine. He still hated it, but he quit bothering me about it. That is when I started shaving them again.

Hair everywhere other than on the scalp is caused by high levels of testosterone, the "male" hromone. The most feminine girls have no leg hair and only a little armpit and pubic hair.
Most men in the US prefer their women to look as feminine as possible. They expect their women to want to look as feminine as possible, even if they aren't as feminine as some others.
On the other hand, men expect men to look masculine.

Always a good question, but never a good answer. I agree with the one that says they 'have to' shave for sports, but I also think guys with hair are sexy as long as it's not TOO much! As far as women - it IS nasty if they DON"T shave!! GROOOSSSS!!!

1) Men are expected to have hair; a "hairy" woman is considered masculine and/or elderly by many and
2) The infamous double standard is alive and well.

who said we expect them to shave their legs...maybe you expect or the united state society expects but I don't personally expect them to shave....

lol i ask my guy friends that question alot.but who knows maybe it's what some guys like plus some guys do shave thier legs.

I dunno...maybe guys like feeling smooth legs since theirs are hairy and girls like feeling hair because theirs are smooth?!? I think hair on guys legs is kinda hot. I don't like not seeing hair...its odd. I agree with the guy above me...He answered perfect!!
