Yes they should die out, in our area a vote just came out to raise money for the county library, I voted NO, the Internet has it all and when I use to go to the library I always choked on the smell inside, people sit there and let gas all day, plus most books are so old and the info so old it is not worth while to go there.

yes i think that the internet is going to be the death of public libraries. i live in turkey and there aren't any public libraries. there are some but only 2-4 libraries in İstanbul (i guess) and internet is very riskyy for libraries...you can find anything you want with just one click...you don't have to get help from a woman to find a book...:D

No. The Internet is useful for research but I doubt regular authors will start putting all their books online instead of hard copy books. I really hope they don't die out. I imagine taking my kids to the library to check out books like my mom did with me. I'm not just going to let my kids stare at a computer screen to read stories.

NO!! I do not think libraries will die out. the Internet just can not provide things that the libraries have available.

I had a myspace yet I deleted it. a million) It grow to be too sluggish! all the pages took continually to load b/c there grow to be distinctive people on it. (This grow to be not my pc, all different non myspace pages loaded superb). 2) i imagine that is a touch ridiculous. It grow to be attending to the point the position me/my friends were spending hours and hours in this web site. better effective events! 3) I felt like it grow to be a contest - what number "myspace friends" I had, whose "proper 8" i grow to be in...i'm positive in myself, i do not decide on a web web site to cajole me that I have friends. 4) I continuously were given gross messages/comments from disgusting pleasing 60 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds searching for some stat rape or something. completely creeped out. so as it truly is why i don't love myspace. yet good day, in case you want it, flow for it. Your decision. :)

Ohhh, that wouldn't be good.
I don't think the 'net will put libraries out of business.
Libraries are free and everyone on the 'net wants $$$$$

Not here in USA, the reference desk has a very highly trained woman or man to help you, The atmosphere is wonderful, the smell is delightful. You meet friends ,make new ones. what they have to offer is sort of like the old country store in the early frontier days. A meeting place. I love ours.
