hey guys i live in california minimum wage here is $7.50 i am a cellphone company sales rep im not even working for a corporate store..what kind of pay should i expect? i have been here for about 6 months and i pretty much manage the store; opening and closing 9-5..help me out...i kinda want a better job..

Getting commission? A job like this typically includes a low base pay plus commissions.
If not, then $10-$12/hour would not be unreasonable. Maybe even more.
If you don't like the job, look for another one.

What town ? Fresno and San Francisco are 2 totally different economies - just being in Ca is irrelevant.
How much are you making now ? $7.50 ? Many business start people low so if they are flakes, it is easier to send them on. If you are good, ask for more at the 1/2 yr mark.
We can't tell if it's fair or not unless we know 1) where 2) how much.

wow...7.50...ours here in GA is only 5.50....but yea if u work at a big corp like that and have those responbilties then yes u should get paid more for that. i mean at least explain to them your reasoning like you did on here. but be more professional about it. and i am sure if your an assit to the company then they will make sure to accomidate you. if not start looking for a higher paying job. But wow...7.50 i hope they raise ours up sometime! Good luck!

you get paid according to the market demand and your own skills. If you are not happy, just leave but make sure you are realistic
