You are still very young, and most people are still unsure of their career paths while they are in college. Becoming a doctor is a lot of hard work, with the studying, the internships, and the BILLS you'll have to pay when you finally graduate. It is stressful but will probably be worth it in the long run.
During your high school years, you should probably try to volunteer at a local hospital or nursing home to get a feel for the medical field (ask your guidance counselor). Try to keep up your grades, especially in science since that is the most important aspect of obtaining a medical degree. Good grades matter a lot to colleges, but I've found that a good essay and great extra curricular activities help as well. If you play sports, did you win any trophies? If you play an instrument, make a recording of your playing. If you're an artist or a writer, did send in some of your work or published pieces. Things like that prove you will be an asset to the college.
During college you will most likely enroll in a pre-med program and have loads of science courses. It's competitive, but you can always try. You'll need your bachelors, and then have to go on to medical school where you will spend your time doing internships and such.
But don't worry if you change your mind! It's completely normal and there are many other career paths that you might consider...

Training to be a doctor takes many years of study - you will have to take a lot of courses that are very difficult - in high school you should take chemistry, AP chemistry, biology, physics, and as much math as you can get - all the way to calculus. You need to get into a respectable college so that you can get a good preparation for med school.
When you get to college you take more chemistry, biology and math. Then you have to take a very hard version of tests similar to the SAT only much harder called the MCAT.
Then you have to spend at least 4 years in medical school, then several years in post-graduate training.
You would be crazy to think about doing this unless you are very good in math and science and dont mind studying really hard for month after month, year after year.
But if you DO want to do it, it is very rewarding and you will make a good living.
